More than 189,000 passengers are expected to pass through the Port of Dover for the start of this year’s Easter getaway; and more than 130,000 are expected to travel next week as the start of school holidays commence.

It is expected that the M20/A20 to Dover in the lead-up to Easter will be busy for tourists, freight and local traffic as a result.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journey, and plan routes in advance to avoid heavy traffic or delays. Local road users should consider alternative routes such as the B2011, A256 or A258 during busy times.
